Housing a vast library of outdoor recreation information, Outerspatial is designed to ensures the user has everything they need right at their fingertips.

Our team partnered with Outerspatial to refine the onboarding process, enhance user engagement, and improve overall product usability of the existing product. A key focus was strengthening the product offering by introducing community features and enhancing user profiles.

Additionally, we optimised the information discovery process, making it easier for users to access outdoor recreation resources, points of interest, and detailed maps. Building on this, we further streamlined campsite bookings, park pass and permit purchases, and improved the check-in and check-out flows for reservations.

Through thoughtful design improvements, Outerspatial evolved into an all-in-one tool for discovering outdoor recreation across America. By enhancing user profiles, integrating community features, and improving navigation and booking flows, we created a more engaging, seamless, and user-friendly experience.

User profiles were expanded to include achievements, challenges, and check-ins, encouraging users to track their progress and stay motivated. Community features allowed users to leave reviews of locations and trails, fostering a sense of shared adventure and trust. The discovery process was refined with improved filtering functionality and location-based services, making it easier to find relevant information, resources, trails, and campsites. Additionally, users gained the ability to add bookings to their digital wallets for quick and convenient access to reservations.

These enhancements transformed Outerspatial into a comprehensive and intuitive outdoor adventure platform, empowering users to explore with confidence.
